The best part of this is the path to the files is as short as possible and windows should be able to see, find and access them without problems. If this does not work you got other problems. Then look for the setup.exe file in the folder you copied the files to on the C: Drive and click it and it should install office just fine. Then take out the office install disc from the CD-ROM drive. Then after that is done turn off antivirus and firewall during the install to avoid any conflicts and problems.

I then select all the files in the right side of the window that opened which of course is all the install files for office and I copy them to the folder that you created on the root of the C: drive. I then open my computer and on the CD Drive that the disc is in, I right click and drop my mouse down and choose Explore that will open a new window. I click on my computer and then click on the local disc C: Drive and create a new folder and call it office2007files and click on the folder to open it and fit it to half of my screen. Then I stick the office disc in and let at start to load and cancel the installation. Step 4: Click Test the program and see if the setup is opening. Step 3: In the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter window, click on Try recommended settings. Step 2: Open the Installation folder, right-click on Setup.exe to select Troubleshoot Compatibility. Shatrughna, this is what I always do, even if you are not suppose to have to do this.įirst go to add remove programs and make sure it is uninstalled and not there and restart PC. Step 1: Open File Explorer and then go to the location of the Office Installation.
