This nearly sparks a war which is shut down by Nazi Germany and The Soviet Union.Ī Series of Border Wars starts the Second Indochina War between Japan and China. However during the turmoil of The Civil War, The JCR annexes The Beijing Region from China. These warlords are crushed in 1936 by The Chinese Army supported by Nazi Germany. Most of these warlords are apart of The Radical, Coalition of Independent Chinese States, Faction and follow Chinese Democracy. The Nationalist are forced to deal with the The Second Chinese Civil War between Nationalist China and various warlords in China. In 1935, Communist China finally succumbs to the JCR-Nationalist Invasions and the Land is split between the JCR and The Nationalists who form an Uneasy Peace. Indochina is then occupied by The Japanese Communist Republic and rebellions cease. The French Republic begins to lose control over Vietnam due to rising Communist Rebellions and leaves Indochina. Horrific war crimes are committed by The Japanese Forces on PRC Civilians. The JCR then invades the PRC alongside the Nationalists. The JCR withdraws all support from the PRC and stages an attack in the Shanxi-Manchuria border to make it look like the PRC attacked the JCR. In 1933, The Communists in China are pushed back heavily by a Coordinated Nationalist Offensive. The JCR began supplying the Chinese Communists with weapons and supplies after the Invasion.
The USSR voiced concern over the Occupation as they didn't want a Japanese Communist State affecting Soviet Influence in Mainland Asia. The JCR believed they were assisting the Communists as the Invasion of Manchuria weakened the Nationalists even further. In 1931, The Japanese invade Manchuria, exploiting the weak situation in China due to the Nationalist-Communist Civil War. Tokuda began a series of reforms and integrations which strengthened the new state and secured the Overseas Territories. By Winter 1930, The JCR was in complete control of Japan and it's Empire under Kyuichi Tokuda's Leadership. Many Generals in the Imperial Army decided it was best to switch sides as the Communists were now winning. They stormed Emperor Hirohito's Residence and executed the Emperor in his courtyard. In July 1930, A Group of Communist Militants called the Japanese Red Berets (Nihon no akai berē-bō) rose up in Tokyo and declared the formation of a new state, The Japanese Communist Republic. Korea was at risk of returning to Chinese Control. The Great Depression of 1929 had ruined the Japanese Economy and the Empire was at risk of crumbling. In 1930, The Political Climate in Japan changed dramatically.
